GülümseSEN

With our GülümseSEN project, made up of in-hospital and out-of-hospital activities for morale, motivation and education, we aim to take children with cancer and their families away from their difficult circumstances for a while and make them smile. Cancer patients face heavy treatment conditions, financial and emotional hardship and being forced away from their friends and school; to add a different colour to the lives of our children and their families, we organise fun activities and help them collect happy memories.

In our GülümseSEN project, which we run entirely with our corporate and individual sponsors, we are able to host 150 to 200 children and their families at a time at the outdoor events we organise.

What do we do for a smile?

At the GülümseSEN events we hold in hospitals;

• We throw joint birthday parties and hand out gifts for children who could not celebrate their birthdays during treatment.
• We organise various activities with activity teachers.
• We decorate and organise events for children on special days.

At the GülümseSEN Festivals held outside hospitals;

• We pick up our children and their families from their homes and take them to the event area prepared for them.
• We organise art workshops to help them take up new hobbies.
• Famous artists who accept our invitation give mini concerts, take photos with the children and sign autographs.
• We have fun with inflatable toys and board games.
• We offer healthy living sessions such as breathing and yoga for patients’ relatives and prepare handicraft workshops.
• We create happy memories with karaoke, kite workshops, masks and costumes.
• We set up feast tables and blow out birthday candles.
• We hand out gifts from our corporate supporters.
• We share our efforts with more people through events to which our artist friends and the press are also invited.

*Children in outpatient treatment with their doctor’s permission take part in our GülümseSEN Festivals.
