The social responsibility and awareness campaign, in which Hande Erçel, the Goodwill Ambassador of the Association for Life Without Cancer, invited everyone to be a hero with the call “You are the Lead”, was among the most resounding civil society projects of 2021.
Our “You are the Lead” project, in which Hande Erçel was the face of the campaign, but invited philanthropists to be the real lead of the campaign, reached a wide audience on social media and TV. The commercial film shot as part of the project was broadcast as a public service announcement* on TV channels for a total of 13 hours and 27 minutes (between June 24, 2021 and October 19, 2021).
On Twitter, the hashtag #Kahraman4381 became a trending topic all over the world and reached the 6th position.
With the 806,739 TL donation collected in the project, 6,622 families were provided with in-kind and cash support with the 806,739 TL donation collected in the project, which was set out to create public awareness and support in order to provide financial support to cancer patients and their families who are fighting for life and death economically against both cancer disease and challenging pandemic conditions and to make it sustainable.
Our campaign was also included in the script of the Fox TV series “Sen Çal Kapımı”, which has a significant audience in Turkey and in countries in the region. You can watch it here.
We would like to extend our endless gratitude to Medina Turgul DDB Advertising Agency and PTOT Film Production Company, the creative team that realized the concept and design of the campaign, and to the 350 volunteers from different sectors who worked for this goal and supported the campaign.
The fact that we designed such a visible and powerful donation campaign attracted the attention of many organizations and led to our association being awarded.
